General Practice Department

The General Practice Department of Peking University Shenzhen Hospital was founded in 2012, mainly responsible for the standardized training of general practice residents in Shenzhen. It is committed to teaching, training, and scientific research in general practice, cultivating general practice talents. In 2013, it was officially included in the standardized training system for general practice residents of Peking University School of Medicine. Currently, it is a member unit of the Department of General Practice of Peking University School of Medicine, a key training base for general practice majors in Guangdong Province, a national level standardized training base for general practice residents, and has been awarded the honorary title of "Advanced Collective in Health Science and Education Work" by the Shenzhen Municipal Health Commission. After ten years of hard work and perseverance, the General Practice Base of Peking University Shenzhen Hospital has undergone standardized training supervision and acceptance for resident physicians at the provincial and national levels multiple times, and the quality of training has steadily improved. In 2022, it was selected for the Fudan edition of the South China General Practice Reputation Ranking List.

The department provides symptom oriented diagnosis and treatment of adult undifferentiated diseases, as well as patient-centered full process medical services. It can provide patients with a health management strategy that combines prevention and treatment, and health education. It implements individualized, comprehensive, sustained, and continuous health management for common and chronic diseases in adults.

The department currently has 7 formal employees, including 3 chief physicians and 4 attending physicians; 3 doctoral students and 4 master's students. The department has approved 20 beds and has established 1 general teaching outpatient clinic and 1 general outpatient clinic. The department has always closely integrated the development of disciplines with the needs of China's medical and health industry, and is committed to exploring a general practice development model with Chinese characteristics and cultivating composite general practice talents with high comprehensive abilities.
