The Department of Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery at Peking University Shenzhen Hospital was established in 1999. After 20 years, it has developed into a clinical department that integrates medicine, education, and research.
There are currently 3 chief physicians, 3 deputy chief physicians, and 4 attending physicians in the department, all of whom have received formal and systematic training in plastic surgery. All of them come from key medical colleges across the country, and there are also many returning overseas students. Our undergraduate physicians have conducted multiple plastic surgery training programs both domestically and internationally. In clinical practice, the department currently has 15 open beds and has a 400 square meter independent specialty outpatient department and independent outpatient operating room, equipped with advanced equipment such as fat transplantation centrifuge equipment, hydrodynamic liposuction machine, carbon dioxide laser, water light needle, etc. The outpatient volume is nearly 20000 people/year, and more than 5000 surgeries/year are performed.
At present, the routine diagnosis and treatment scope of our department mainly includes: correction of common congenital deformities, scar and surface malignant tumor resection and trauma repair, expander and tissue defect repair, ear reconstruction, breast plastic surgery and breast reconstruction after breast cancer surgery, external genital plastic surgery, fat suction and transplantation filling, facial beauty such as eyes and nose, craniofacial contour plastic surgery, facial rejuvenation and micro plastic surgery, and repair of various complex cosmetic complications. It is particularly distinctive in eye and nose plastic surgery, breast plastic surgery, fat plastic surgery, craniofacial plastic surgery, and complex cosmetic complication repair.
After years of development, cosmetic and plastic surgery will continue to be built into a professional discipline with a reasonable talent structure, strong technical strength, comprehensive development of medical research and teaching, and good influence in Shenzhen and surrounding areas.
